SBI is not a permanent apprentice job. After the complete selection process, applicants will be recruited for a term of three years during which, as specified by the SBI, they will earn a stipend. After the training cycle, no employee will be retained by the bank for the potential implementation of routine work.

The apprenticeship work is close to that of administration. The SBI apprentice will be expected to work on various duties relating to the day-to-day management, marketing, and sales of bank operations.

You have to be aged 15 or older and no longer in full-time school to start an apprenticeship. You also do not have to have a level 4 or higher certification. You can receive on completion of an apprenticeship: a technical certificate showing the achievement of skills and expertise relevant to the larger industry.

An Apprentice is a person who is willing to learn certain skills needed in a particular job at a low pay scale than usual. He is liable to complete all the work assigned by his/her seniors in the given deadline.

SBI Apprentice Job Profile:-

First of all, it is very important to be aware of the job profile of SBI Apprentice in detail:

The job of apprenticeship is similar to the administration job. The SBI apprentice will be required to work on multiple tasks that will be assigned to him related to the day to day administration of the bank operations, marketing and sales.

We will make it very clear here that they are not the employee of the bank. They are the trainees. Tasks assigned by their supervisors have to be completed by the SBI Apprentice.

The main job profile is to deliver after-sales services to the customers of the bank. The apprentice will be working for an employer who will help him/her to learn this profession.

Educational Qualification:-

The candidate must have completed the graduation from a recognized University/ Institute.

During their apprenticeship program, apprentices are prepared to quickly get into the position of workers while they are professionally trained on the job and accredited for a specific industry. While apprenticeships are paid and frequently lead to a permanent position, internships may be unpaid.

SBI Apprentice Salary:-

All the apprentice will be eligible to get a stipend of Rs 15000/- per month for the first year of training, in the second year stipend would be Rs 16500/- and in the third year, they will be eligible to get RS 19000/- per month. They will not be eligible for any kind of perks and benefits from the organization.

Is SBI apprentice a permanent Job?

The answer to the most-asked question is ‘NO’. It is not a permanent job. You will be hired after the complete selection process for a period of three years during which you will be given the stipend as mentioned above. No employee after the training period will be retained by the bank for carrying out the routine work in the future. This is an Internship program by SBI which enables them to learn the skills required in the banking industry.

If any candidate during his / her training period as an apprentice cracks any other banking or Government exam, he can resign from this job as there is no such restriction/bond mentioned by SBI during the training period.
