Terrorism is an illegal act aimed at instilling fear in the general public. It poses a danger to humanity. It comprises acts of violence such as riots, burglaries, rapes, kidnappings, fighting, bombs, and so forth. Terrorism is a cowardly act.
Terrorism is divided into two types: political terrorism, which causes widespread alarm, and criminal terrorism, which involves kidnapping for ransom money. Because it is carried out by well-trained individuals, political terrorism is far more important than criminal terrorism.
Terrorism has spread on both a national and worldwide scale. The most violent form of terrorism is regional terrorism. Because terrorists believe that dying as a terrorist is precious and holy, they are willing to go to any length to achieve it. All of these terrorist organisations were formed for different reasons.
The invention or production of massive quantities of machine guns, atomic bombs, hydrogen bombs, nuclear weapons, missiles, and other weapons are some of the main causes of terrorism. Fast population expansion, Politics, social, and economic issues, public dissatisfaction with the country’s system, a lack of education, corruption, racism, economic disparity, and language diversity are all issues that people are concerned about.
All of them are major components of terrorism, and terrorism thrives as a result of them. Terrorism is used as a tool to establish and defend one’s point of view. Terrorism instils dread in individuals, and residents of the country feel insecure as a result of it. Terrorist attacks have resulted in the destruction of millions of items, the deaths of thousands of innocent people, and the slaughter of animals. After seeing a terrorist act, people lose faith in mankind, which breeds more terrorists. Terrorism takes several forms in different parts of the world.
Terrorism is now an issue not only in India, but also in our neighbouring country, and governments all over the world are working hard to combat it. The attack on the World Trade Centre on September 11, 2001, is regarded as the world’s largest terrorist attack.
To combat terrorism in India, many police, intelligence, and military forces have developed specific agencies. Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), and National Investigation Agency are the main agencies in India that fight terrorism (NIA).
Terrorism has a long history in India. It is a cowardly move by terrorist groups seeking to disrupt the country’s calm. Its goal is to instil fear in the population. To prevent the country from prospering, they aim to keep the people in a perpetual state of terror.
Terrorism has evolved into a worldwide issue that must be addressed at the outset. Terrorism cannot be controlled solely by law enforcement. In order to combat the growing menace of terrorism, people all around the world will have to work together.
