Subhash Chandra Bose is affectionately remembered as one of India’s greatest liberation warriors and is better known as ‘Netaji‘ (Respected Leader). Swami Vivekananda’s teachings had a big influence on him, and he thought the Bhagavad Gita was a great source of motivation for the fight against the British.
Bose was a key player in the Indian independence struggle and an Indian nationalist. During World War II, the revolutionary Indian National Army was led by him. He was a staunch supporter of India’s total and unconditional independence from British rule.
Subhash Chandra Bose was the founder and President of the All India Forward Bloc, as well as the creator and Head of State of the Provisional Government of Free India, which he led with the Indian National Army from 1943 until 1945.

S C Bose was a firm believer in the military revolution to drive the British out of India. During the Second World War, Bose recreated the Indian National Army (INA) with the support of the Imperial Japanese Army, as well as establishing the ‘Azad Hind Radio’, an Indian radio station.
He traveled to Japan a few years later, where additional soldiers and civilians joined the INA. Bose was able to maintain support for the Azad Hind movement despite military setbacks. For the independence of India, S C Bose sought support from Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini in Europe.
