SSC MTS 2021 Notification Out: Check Exam Date, Eligibility & Syllabus

The Staff Selection Commission has released the notification for the much-awaited SSC MTS Recruitment on their official website i.e. https://ssc.nic.in on 05^th Feb 2021 and those who wish to apply for this post can start registering themselves online from 05^th Feb onwards.

SSC Multi Tasking (Non-Technical) Examination is a national level exam conducted for recruitment of candidates in Group-C non-gazetted, non-ministerial posts in various ministries, departments, and offices of the Government of India. Candidates recruited as multi-tasking staff by Staff Selection Commission (SSC) fall in Pay Band-1 (Rs 5,200-20,200) + Grade Pay Rs 1,800.

Important Dates for SSC MTS 2021

• Online registrations will start from 02.2021
• Last date to fill Application Form: 03.2021 (upto 11:30pm)
• Last date for Online Fee Payment: 03.2021 (upto 11:30pm)
• Last date for generation of offline Challan: 03.2021 (upto 11:30pm)
• Last date for payment through Challan (during working hours of Bank): 03.2021
• Tentative Dates of Tier-I Examination (CBE): 01-07-2021 to 20-07-2021
• Date of Tier-II Examination (Descriptive Paper): 11.2021

SSC MTS Exam Eligibility Criteria

If you wish to apply for the SSC MTS exam, here is the eligibility criteria:

Age Limit (As on 01-01-2021):

18-25 years (for some posts it is 27 years) as on the date mentioned in the notification

A relaxation in the upper age limit has been provided to candidates belonging to categories such as Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC), Persons with Disability (PwD), etc.

Essential Educational Qualifications (as on 01-01-2021):

The candidates must have passed the Matriculation Examination or equivalent from a recognized Board.

Exam pattern of SSC MTS

The examination will consist of a Computer Based Examination (Paper-I) and a Descriptive Paper (Paper-II).

Paper-I: Computer Based Examination

The exam is conducted online that consists of 4 sections having 100 questions in total with maximum marks of 100 for which 90 minutes of time is given to the candidates. The sections asked in SSC MTS Tier-I Exam are:

There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer given by you.

Paper-II: Pen and Paper Mode (Descriptive)

Tier-2 of SSC MTS will be a descriptive test (Writing of Essay, Precise, Letter, Application, etc.) and will constitute 50 marks. The entire paper needs to be completed in 30 minutes. This paper is only qualifying in nature.

Once both the papers are over, Staff Selection Commission will release the final SSC MTS result on its official website. Candidates qualifying the exam will have to appear for the document verification round along with all original documents prescribed by the commission. All candidates whose document verification gets successfully completed will then be allotted services as per the available vacancies.

Application Fees:

A candidate must pay an application fee of Rs. 100/– for SSC MTS exam registration. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD category and All Category Female are exempted from paying the online application fee.

Candidates can pay fee either online through Net Banking / Credit Card/Debit Card or through offline mode by generating a Challan for the same.
