Answer: Ramesh told Nishad that Mr. Nath was not very specific about what he ate. It was always a similar food—two chapattis, some dal, and a vegetable. He used to have this nutrition and food in the morning and in the evening. Mr. Nath would drink tea once in the morning and once in the afternoon. Ramesh also told that Mr. Nath would pay in money and was also a decent tipper.


Question 2: Why does Maya think Mr. Nath is a crook? Who does she say the Sunday visitor is?

Answer: Maya thought that Mr. Nath was a crook because he had a strange and odd appearance. He did not work in labour but always had cash to order his meals and food from restaurants, and also gave tips. The renters at Shankar House said that he was mad, weird, and harsh, unfriendly. He sat in his room all day, and nonentity except a spectacled, fair, fat man visited him. He had no pals and she thought that it was so because he feared and worried someone might comprehend him and inform and notify the police. She thought that the Sunday visitor was his associate in crime. She said that the guest perhaps kept all the loot, and would come now and then to give a part of it to his supporter for expenditures.

Question 3: Does Nishad agree with Maya about Mr. Nath? How does he feel about him?

Answer: No, Nishad did not agree with Maya about Mr. Nath because he wanted to find out why Mr. Nath was so pale and so isolated. He also wanted to know why he did not have any pals and resided alone. When Maya said that he did so because he worried someone might recognize him and notify the police, Nishad reacted by telling that probably no one had ever tried to make pals with him. He finally said that he liked Mr. Nath was going to try and be his friend. Maya’s theories did not make any impression and opinion on him.
