Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated on 2nd October. On this day our father of nation named Mahatma Gandhi was born. We call him as ‘’Bapu”.

It is the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and celebrated all across the world.

The government declared this day as the national holiday. On this day all shops, schools, banks, colleges are closed.

Mahatma Gandhi was against the violence. He believed that truth is more powerful than the physical harm.

This day is celebrated to pay honor and tribute to Gandhi Ji as he fought against Britishers for our independence throughout his life.

This occasion is celebrated in every school. Students celebrate this occasion with great enthusiasm and a lot of preparations.

On this day, his favorite bhajan “Raghupati Raghav Rajaram” is sung in his memory during the celebration.
