What is cleanliness?

 

Cleanliness is both the practice of achieving and maintaining the state of being free of germs, dirt, trash or waste.

 

How to be clean?

 

Following are the steps we should follow to keep ourselves clean:

 

1. Brushing our teeth –
   We should take care of our teeth by brushing them every day twice – once in the morning before we eat anything and once before we go to sleep at night.
   To brush our teeth, we first apply toothpaste on our toothbrush, then scrub our teeth with the toothbrush. Then we rinse our mouth with water.
2. Bathing –
   To bathe ourselves properly, we should first rinse ourselves with water to make our bodies wet and free of dust, then apply soap on our bodies to remove dirt and bacteria and apply shampoo to clean our hair.
3. Washing our hands –
   We should always keep our hands clean. We catch a lot of bacteria on our hands by touching different objects. Therefore, if we eat without washing our hands, the bacteria would travel inside our mouth as we eat food and make us sick.
   As such, we should always wash our hands before and after eating by first rinsing our hands with water to make them wet and then use soap to clean the dirt and bacteria.
   We can also use hand sanitisers whenever water is not available so that way we can keep our hands clean in public too.
4. Keeping our room clean –
   A clean surrounding makes us feel good and energetic. It improves our efficiency and keeps us healthy.
   Whenever we wake up in the morning, the first thing we should do is to make our bed. Then we should arrange everything properly in our room. We should also regularly clean the dust from all our belongings that are exposed in our room.

 

What are the tools we use to clean ourselves?

 

We use the following tools to clean ourselves:

1. Toothbrush to clean our teeth.

2. Shampoo is used to clean our hair.

 

 

3. Soap is used to clean the body

 

 

4. A hairbrush is used to comb and untangle our hair.

 

What are the tools we use to clean our environment?

 

We use the following tools to clean our environment:

 

1. Broomsticks are used to clean the dust of our house.

 

2. The mop is used to clean the house.

 

3. Detergent or washing powder is used to clean our clothes.

 

What is the benefit of keeping ourselves clean?

 

Following are the benefits of keeping ourselves clean:

 

1. If your teeth are clean, then you can eat all tasty foods without your teeth going bad.
2. If your body is clean, you will not fall ill as your body will not catch infections.
3. If your dress is clean, you will look good and tidy.
4. If your hair is clean, you will look good and you will not catch lice.
