IBPS RRB 2020 Notification Out : Vacancy, Eligibility, Exam Dates, & Syllabus

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection has released the much-awaited IBPS RRB 2020 Recruitment at the official website of IBPS i.e. at www.ibps.in on 30th June 2020. The Regional Rural Bank recruitment notification is for the posts of Officers Scale I, II, and III and Office Assistant and the IBPS RRB Apply Online link will be active from 1st July 2020. There are 5276 vacancies for IBPS RRB Office Assistant and 3978 vacancies for IBPS RRB Officer Scale-I.

Important Dates to Note:

1. Online registrations will start from July 1 to July 21, 2020

2. IBPS RRB Officer Scale-I / Office Assistant preliminary exam will be conducted on September / October 2020

3. IBPS RRB Officer Scale-I / Office Assistant mains exam will be conducted on October / November 2020

4. Final result to be declared by January 2021.

The number of tentative vacancies in IBPS RRB 2020 exam is:

a) Office Assistant = 5276

b) Officer Grade-I = 3978

Eligibility Criteria:

If you want to apply for IBPS RRB exams here is the eligibility criteria:

1. Age:

a) Office assistant: 18 – 28 years i.e. candidates should have not been born earlier than 02.07.1992 and later than 01.07.2002 (both dates inclusive) e. candidates should not have been born earlier than 03.07.1990 and later than 30.06.2002 (both dates inclusive)

b) Scale I officer:  18 – 30 years

 (Age relaxation +3 yrs for OBC, +5 yrs for SC/ST)

2. Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent.

3. Candidate must possess proficiency in the local language of the state where RRB is located.

Desirable: Working knowledge of Computer

IBPS RRB Exam Pattern

IBPS RRB Exams follows a two-stage process – Preliminary & Main Exam. The interview is conducted for the post of Officer Scale I.

Prelims test will have 80 questions which should be answered within 45minutes.

Aspirants who will qualify in the preliminary test will only be eligible to give the mains examination.

Mains test will have 200 questions for which 2 hours’ time is allotted to the candidate.

Candidates can opt either 4 a or 4 b

There is no interview round for office assistants. They will be directly appointed on the basis of their marks scored in the main exam.

1. There is a negative marking for every wrong answer in both Preliminary and Main Examination for which there is a penalty of ¼ or 0.25 of the marks assigned to the particular question.

2. IBPS RRB Application Fees for Officer (Scale I, II & III) & Assistant

– Rs. 175/- for SC/ST/PWBD candidates.

– Rs. 850/- for all others
