The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has begun with the recruitment process for Probationary officers (PO) / Management trainees (MT). This year, the IBPS has announced a total of 4336 vacancies and 9 banks are participating.

The examination will be two tiers i.e. the online examination will be held in two phases, Online Preliminary, and Online Main. Candidates who will qualify in Online Preliminary examination and shortlisted will have to appear for Online Main examination and shortlisted candidates in the Online Main examination will subsequently be called for a Common Interview.

• Online registration will start from 7^th August 2019 to 28^th August 2019.
• IBPS PO Prelims Exam will be on 12^th, 13^th, 19^th and 20^th October 2019
• IBPS PO Mains Exam will be on 30 November 2019
• IBPS PO Interview will be on January 2020
• Provisional Allotment will be on April 2020

IBPS PO 2019 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :

• Age– The age should be between 20-30 years, as on 1 August 2019.
• Education Qualification: Graduation Degree in any stream from a recognised University.

• For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score.

IBPS PO INTERVIEW – Candidates who would qualify the Prelims & Mains examination for PO/MT will be called for Interview carrying 100 Marks.

IBPS PO 2019 Application Fee :

• 600/- for General and OBC
• 100/- for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD category.

Eligible and interested Candidates are required to register online for the recruitment process on the official IBPS website, i.e., www.ibps.in.

The application for IBPS PO Exam 2019 needs to be done online. To avoid any technical errors please make sure that the web-browser used to fill up the IBPS PO 2019 Application form is one of the following:

• Internet Explorer 8 and above
• Mozilla FireFox 3.0 and above
• Google Chrome 3.0 and above Candidates applying online must have the following pre-requisites:
• A valid Email Id
• Photograph and Signature scanned in the prescribed size

Final Cutoff Calculation:

The final cutoff for the IBPS PO exam is released keeping the following points in mind:

• Marks obtained in the Preliminary Exam (Tier-1) will not be considered in the final score and are only for qualifying to Mains Exam (Tier-2).
• Aspirant must qualify Phase-2 and Interview separately to be eligible for final merit.
• The ratio of Main exam and interview for final merit list will be calculated in 80:20 respectively.
• The aggregate score out of 100 is used for the final merit list for each category. Candidates with top merit rank in each category are finally selected.

Q1. What are the types of posts offered under this recruitment project?

The post offered under IBPS PO Notification is Probationary officer / Management Trainee.

Q2. What are the changes in Exam Pattern?

IBPS has changed the timings pattern by adding sectional timings of 20 minutes for each section in the first phase in combination with the sectional cutoff for each section.

Q3. When will the result be declared?

Preliminary exam result is declared one month after the conduct of exam, last year it was declared in November 2018 as the exam was held in the month of October 2018. And Mains exam result was announced in December 2018 and the final result for the same will be declared in the month of April 2019.

Q4. How many vacancies are released every year?

Last year the number of posts advertised was 4102 for PO and this year it is 4336, but it expected to increase upto 5000.

Q5. What is the prescribed syllabus for IBPS PO Exam every year for Pre and Mains Exam?

Q6. Is there any interview after the final result?

Yes, interview session is there which is conducted in the month of January/February after declaration of Mains Exam result. The final cut off is made taking the ratio in which the interview and main result is measured is 80 for mains result and 20 for the interview.

The exam for IBPS PO is conducted online both for prelims and mains.

Q8. What is the age limit to apply for CWE IBPS PO Exam?

The minimum age limit is 20 years and maximum is 30 years as on the date of applying for the vacancy.

Q9. What are the eligibility criteria for applying for the post of IBPS PO?

Candidate should be a graduate from any of the recognized University in any discipline. University or Board should be recognized by the Central Government. Final semester students can also apply ensuring that there final result should be declared before September.

Phase-I: Preliminary Examination

Candidates need to qualify in all the three sections by scoring minimum cut-off marks to be decided by IBPS.

Phase – II: Main Examination

Main Examination comprises of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 25 marks. Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests are conducted online.

The sections other than the Test of English Language will be accessible bilingually, i.e. English and Hindi.
