For admission to most architectural colleges, the eligibility is 50 per cent marks in HSC or equivalent, with Physics, Chemistry and Maths as compulsory subjects but you haveto clear the entrance exam like JEE Main (AIEEE) and NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture.)


B. Sc (Hons)

If you’re deeply fascinated by pursuing a career in academics or research, B.Sc (Hons) in subjects like Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or Zoology will suit you. You’ll be able to further your prospects by doing a master’s degree or moving on to research and dealing as a junior research fellow in any reputed research institute. You can join as a Lecturer in any university or get jobs in pharmaceutical industry, or in government organisations like ONGC.

For admission to B.Sc (Hons),10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology or Computer Science is mandatory.


B. Sc Computer Science (H)

B.Sc (CS) teaches students about the mathematical and theoretical foundations of computing, rather than teaching specific technologies. Software firms hire B.SC (CS) students for the post of software testers and software developers.


B. Sc Electronics (H)

A degree in B.Sc. (Honours) Electronics course provides students with skills which are required to design electrical, electronic, computer, automation and communication systems. Opportunities are available in research and development, aerospace and defence electronics, design, testing, production, inspection, quality control, project management and technical sales.



If you have got a keen interest in computers, then you should go for Bachelor in Computer Applications (BCA) which is a three-year degree course teaching about programming languages.


For BCA, 10+2 in any stream with Mathematics and English as core subjects is required.For joining in BCA, students have to appear in entrance tests conducted by individual colleges.



You can pursue a Bachelor in Business of Bachelor Admission (BBA) if you have got Mathematics and English as core subjects. It’s a 3-year degree course which is intended to impart management education and inculcate entrepreneurship skills in a student.

Eligibility for BBA is 10+2 from any stream with Mathematics and English as core subjects and a minimum aggregate of 50%.


BA English

If the students are fascinated with English Language and Literature then they can opt for English Hons, even if they have pursued Science in 10+2.


B. Com

If you are feeling Science isn’t any longer your cup of tea and need to try to something else, you’ll be able to also pursue Bachelors in Commerce from any university.

Requirement is 10+2 from any stream. The students can also choose to pursue professional course like CA, CS or ICWAsimultaneously.
