    Staff Selection Commission – Combined Graduate Level Examination, often referred to as SSC CGL postings are for challenging positions such as

    Eligibility Criteria

    Age: – 18-27 years (30 years for some posts)

    SSC CGL Tier-2 Exam Pattern

    The exam will be conducted online comprising of 2 sections with maximum marks of 200 in each section. The sections asked in SSC CGL Tier-2 Exam are:

    SSC CGL Tier-3 Exam Pattern

    Tier-3 of SSC CGL will be a descriptive test (Writing of Essay, Precise, Letter, Application etc.). The paper will be in English/Hindi and will constitute of 100 marks. The entire paper needs to be completed in 60 minutes.

    SSC CGL Tier-4 Exam Pattern

    SSC CGL Tier-4 Exam is a Computer Skill Test. It will be conducted in two steps:

    DEST Test & CPT Test. DEST: Candidates are required to type 2000 words in 15 minutes on a computer in English. This test is conducted to check a candidate’s writing skills.

    CPT: This test is conducted to check a candidate’s proficiency in Word Processing, Spreadsheets and Generation of Slides.

    SSC CHSL

    SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level– CHSL Exam is conducted for the recruitment of

    • Lower Divisional Clerks (LDC)
    • Data Entry Operators (DEO)
    • Postal Assistants
    • Sorting Assistants

    The exam consists of 3 stages: –

    • Tier-I is a Computer Based Examination,
    • Tier-II is a Descriptive Paper and
    • Tier – III is a Skill Test/ Typing Test.

    Eligibility Criteria

    Age: – Should be between 18-27 years.

    Educational Qualification: -Should have 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.

    • For DEO (Data Entry Operator:- Should pass 12th Standard from Science stream with Mathematics as one of the subjects.

    SSC CHSL Tier – 1 Exam Pattern

    Tier I exam consist of 4 sections containing Multiple Choice Questions with a total of 100 questions.

    SSC CHSL Tier – 2 Exam Pattern

    Tier – 2 exams will be a descriptive test (Writing of Essay, Letter, and Application etc.). The paper will be in English/Hindi and will constitute of 100 marks. The entire paper needs to be completed in 60 minutes.

    SSC CHSL Tier – 3 Exam Pattern

    Tier – 3 exams are only qualifying in nature, its score will not be considered for final merit listing.

    Typing Test: It is applicable for Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant, LDC, and Court Clerk posts.

    • English typing- it will require a speed of 35 words per minute.
    • Hindi typing- it will require a speed of 30 words per minute.

    Skill Test: It is only conducted for candidates applying for the Data Entry Operator (DEO).

    For this data entry speed of 8,000 key depressions per hour on the computer is mandatory.

    SSC CPO/CAPF

    SSC CPO (Central Police Organization) / CAPF (Central Armed Police Force) Exam is conducted for the post of

    • Sub Inspector in Delhi Police
    • Sub Inspector in CAPFs
    • Assistant Sub Inspector in CISF

    The Exam will consist of 3 Phases, i.e., Phase -1 will be a Computer Based Examination (CBE), Phase – 2 will be Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Standard Test (PST) and Medical Examination and Phase – 3 will be a Descriptive paper.

    Eligibility Criteria

    Age: – Should be between 20-25 years.

    Educational Qualification: -Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized University or Institute.

    SSC CPO PHASE – 1 EXAM PATTERN

    The Computer-Based exam consists of 4 sections containing Multiple Choice Questions with a total of 100 questions.

    SSC CPO PHASE – 2 EXAM PATTERN

    PET Physical Efficiency Test consists of a race

    • For Male Candidates: – 6 Km in 6.5 minutes, Long Jump: 3.65 meters in 5 chances, High Jump: 1.2 meters in 3 chances, Short put 16 LBS: 4.5 meters in 3 chances
    • For Female Candidates: – 800 min 4 minutes, Long Jump: 2.7 meters or 9 feet in 3 chances, High Jump: 0.9 meters or 3 feet in 3 chances.

    PST Physical Standard Test of Height and Chest measurement will be carried out.

    SSC CPO PHASE – 3 EXAM PATTERN

    SSC CPO Phase 3 exam will be a descriptive test of English Comprehension (Writing of Essay, Precise, Letter, Application etc.) and will constitute of 200 marks. The entire paper needs to be completed in 2 hours.

     

    SSC GD CONSTABLE

    SSC GD (General Duty ) Constable exam is conducted for the posts of

    • Constable (General Duty) in Border Security Force (BSF)
    • Central Industrial Security Force (CISF)
    • Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)
    • Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP)
    • Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB)
    • National Investigation Agency (NIA)
    • Secretariat Security Force (SSF)
    • Rifleman (General Duty) in Assam Rifles

    The Exam will consist of 3 Phases, i.e.,

    • Phase -1 will be a Computer Based Examination (CBE),
    • Phase – 2 will be the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Standard Test (PST)
    • Phase – 3 will be Detailed Medical Examination (DME).

    Eligibility Criteria

    Age: – Should be between 18-23 years.

    PST Physical Standard Test of Height and Chest measurement will be carried out.

    SSC GD Phase – 3 Exam Pattern

    DME – Detailed Medical Examination -Candidates who qualify PET/ PST undergo DME Test in which a candidate will be medically examined by the Medical Boards constituted by the CAPFs to assess their physical and medical fitness, i.e., eyesight, haemoglobin, knock knee, flat foot etc.

     

    SSC MTS

    SSC Multi-Tasking Staff Exam (MTS) exam is conducted in 2 phases, i.e., Phase 1 will be a Computer Based (CBE), and Phase 2 will be a Descriptive Paper.

    SSC MTS Phase – 2 Exam Pattern

    Phase – 2 will be a descriptive test in which the candidate has to write a short essay or letter which carry 50 minutes and time given is 30 minutes. This exam is qualifying in nature.
