CBSE Class 3 Science-Organ Systems of Our Body-NCERT Solution for Class 3

Class 3 Science : Students start learning about basic Life Processes from Class 3. In previous classes, they learned about Sense Organs. Now, we will understand and learn many other body organs that make different organ systems work together in our body to keep us alive.

Organ Systems of Our Body

Our body is made up of a large number of Cells. Group of cells is called Tissues. Different types of tissues join to form organs or body parts. Our body has five sense organs and many other organs. These organs work in groups. A group of organs working together known as an organ system, do one major work for the body. An Organ System consists of a group of organs that work together to do the same work. These organ systems work together in our body for it to function properly.

Some of the large internal organs are our body are heart, lungs, stomach, and kidneys. The Skeletal System, Digestive System, Excretory System, Respiratory System, Circulatory System, and Reproduction System are major organ systems of the body. Let’s discuss one by one:

The Circulatory System helps us to carry things from one part to the other parts of the body. The parts of this system are the heart, artery, veins, and blood. The heart works like a pump and pushes the blood into the tubes called arteries. Arteries carry blood to different parts of the body. The veins carry the blood back to the heart.

Excretory System:

The Excretory System helps us to throw out wastes from the body. Many wastes are thrown out from the body along with sweat through the skin Carbon Dioxide mixes with the air that is breathed out. It is then thrown out through the nostrils. The liquid waste from the blood is filtered by the kidneys. It is thrown out of the body as urine through the urinary system.
