Children’s Day 2019 : Why Is Children’s Day Celebrated On 14 November?
Children’s day is celebrated on 14th November. It is the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, children use to call him “CHACHA NEHRU”. He was the first Prime Minister of India. This day is also known as BalDiwas.
This day is celebrated all over India to create awareness among the society about rights and the importance of education. It is celebrated by the teachers for the students with great passion and with very much excitement in schools and in colleges.
Schools get decorated with colorful balloons and with other decorative materials. As it is a special day for every child so some school provides lunch to children and some provide refreshment. They also give gifts to the children.
Children perform different activities like singing songs in Hindi and English, poem recitation, speech, dance, etc. to remember Chacha’s Nehru great works for the country.
Chacha Nehru said that children are the future of the country so it is necessary to love and care for them until they stand on their own legs. They also said some children have not accessed modern education and remain backward so they need to raise their status and it is only possible when every Indian citizen understands its duty.
People take the pledge on this day to never ignore their children and realize that they are the father of the man.
