About CA Foundation Course :

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is the institution that runs the CA Foundation Course. The CA Foundation Course is the entry level to the Chartered Accountancy course. After the Class XII examination, students can register for the CA Foundation Course 2022. Eligible candidates are required to register for the examination. All registered applicants must undergo at least four months of study to appear for the foundation examination.

• Since the Foundation Course is the first level of ICAI CA, register with the Board of Studies (BOS) for the Foundation Course.
• The last date for registration of the course is January 01, 2022 and July 01, 2022 respectively.
• To register with the CA Foundation applicants must register, log in, fill out the application form with details, provide eligibility details, and upload scanned images, CA Foundation 2022 Course. Registration fee must be paid after updating all the information.
• Students should note that registration for the CA Foundation course is required to take the course. To appear for the CA Foundation 2022 exam, candidates must fill out the CA Foundation application form provided separately.

CA Foundation Eligibility Criteria 2021-2022:

• Eligibility criteria for the CA Foundation course is required to be checked to appear for the CA Foundation 2022 exam.

The criteria are outlined in the section below.

• To qualify for the CA Foundation 2022 exam, you must pass the senior school certificate examination from a recognized board.
• Candidates must be registered with the Board of Studies for the Foundation course before the last date of registration, or apply to the CA Foundation course with the ICAI’s Board of Studies.

Documents required:

Candidates should have the following  scanned documents for registration in the CA foundation examination 2022:

• A certified copy of Class XII Admit Card / Marksheet issued by the concerned Board.
• A recent color photo (affixed to the printout of the completed online registration form).
• Confirmed copy of proof of nationality if the student is a foreigner.
• Certified copy of proof of special category, i.e. SC / ST, OBC, Special.
• Indicate the name and date of birth as per the 10th class Admit Card / Admit Card.

How to register for CA Foundation 2022 Exam?

Candidates can register with the Board of Studies only as per the instructions given below:

Step 1: Login

• After submitting the OTP, you will receive a message asking you to log in with your registered email ID and password.
• Enter your user ID and password
• Click the “Login” button to submit details

Step 2:

• Fill in the details on the form
• Upon successful login, you will need to provide other details required for registration

The details asked for in the CA Foundation 2022 Registration are as follows:

• Father’s name
• Mother’s name
• Your full address
• Zip code
• Section
• Nationality

Step 3:

• Upload images in the CA Foundation 2022 Registration Form
• Applicants must upload a scanned copy of the original documents.
• Maximum image size Width: 21 cm, Length: 27 cm. If you do not meet the image conditions given, your application will be rejected.
• A new page will appear on the screen, on which you must now click the Apply button.
• Next, applicants are required to provide the required information and upload the images in the registration form.

Step 4: Pay the course fee

• Applicants for the Foundation Course must pay the course fee.
• You can pay the fee through online mode as well.
• If the fee is paid successfully, the system will automatically generate the form with a successful transaction message.

CA Foundation Syllabus for 2022 Exams:

Candidates are expected to clear 4 question papers of 100 marks each.

• Paper 1, Principles and Practice of Accounting: deals with the principles and application of numbering, which covers the theoretical framework, numbering process, and inventory.

• Paper 2, Business Laws and Business Correspondence Reporting: deals with business law, business correspondence and recording, covering Indian Contract Act, 1872 and Indian Partnership Act 1932.

• Paper 3, Business Mathematics and Logical Reasoning and Statistics: covers business mathematics, logical reasoning, statistics, permutation and combination, sequence and series, direction test, seating arrangement and much more.

• Paper 4, Business Economics & Business and Commercial knowledge: deals with business economics, business and commercial knowledge, including the business cycle, production theory, and cost.

• Each paper has 100 questions of 400 marks, while the objective type paper has a negative mark of -1/4.

The duration of each paper is 3 hours. The medium of examination is English / Hindi as per the choice of the applicant.
